Self Hypnosis Classes: October 2007- April 2008
Most classes are held locally through Adult Education at Hamilton High School on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Each class is self contained and students can start with either of the 2 semesters. Each 20 hour course runs for 8 weeks. Fall- Self Hypnosis #1 (October - December 2007)
- Class #1 - Introduction to Hypnosis - This class explores the truths and misconceptions of hypnosis and introduces the roles of the conscious and subconscious mind. Included is a demonstration of the hypnotic state with a volunteer from the group.
- Class #2 - Inducing Self Hypnosis - Learn a step by step approach for inducing self hypnosis and how to use the proper semantics for reaching the subconscious mind. Learn how to use suggestions for successful results.
- Class #3 - Behavior Modification - Learn to break free of old unwanted habits. This class focuses on behavior modification including the topics of weight loss and smoking cessation.
- Class #4 - Prisons of the Mind - Part 1
- Class #5 - Prisons of the Mind - Part 2
- Class #6 - Prisons of the Mind - Part 3 - These 3 classes look at how the mind can become a mental and emotional imprisonment even from the earliest years of life, culminating with a step by step approach to set yourself free from unwanted limitations.
- Class #7 - Self confidence/Intelligence - This class teaches practical techniques for building self worth and self confidence. We'll also explore different kinds of intelligence and how to increase your personal abilities.
- Class #8 - Sleep and Dreams - This last class focuses on the stages of sleep as well as dream interpretation. Students observe a live demonstration of dream interpretation with a volunteer from the class.

Winter- Self Hypnosis # 2 (January - February 2008)

- Class #3 - Two Parts of Mind - This class explores the conscious and subconscious mind in great detail. Learn the roles they play and discover which side of the brain you use the most.
- Class #4 - Pain Control - Pain is a very misunderstood subject. In this class we'll look at how pain can be blocked with natural anesthesia. Learn a powerful technique for personal use.
- Class #5 - Health and the Mind-Body Connection (part 1)
- Class #6 - Health and the Mind-Body Connection (part2) - These two classes explore the mind's role in physical health and disease. Learn how the mind can influence the body for health and wellness.
- Class #7 - Depth of Trance and Life's Urges - In this class we'll discuss various depths of the trance state and their applications. We'll also explore natural life's urges and motivations that keep us alive.
- Class #8 - Stress and Stress Reduction - This class focuses on stress, coping mechanisms and techniques for effective stress removal.

Spring - Self Hypnosis # 3 - To be held April or May, 2008 - dates,times,location to be announced. (15 hours of instruction over a full Saturday and Sunday.)
Go beyond self hypnosis as we explore the use of altered states for spiritual growth. Develop greater awareness and intuition as you actively participate in creating the life you deserve.
- Consciousness, Awareness, The Senses and Perceptions - This includes workshops for expanding awareness and for heightening the senses.
- Telepathy, Non-locality, ESP, Psychometry - This information sets the foundation for the rest of the weekend.
- Reincarnation - Explore the idea of reincarnation including past life memory and karma. Included is a demonstration of a past life regression or a group guided imagery.
- Circle of Experiences - Learn about a continuum of unusual experiences including remote viewing, near death experiences, fire walking and levitation. Includes a workshop for remote viewing.
- The Body - This class is devoted to the tangible, incredible workings of human body. Learn to honor your body and to build a healthier relationship; one of balance and harmony between your mind, body and spirit.
- Manifestation and the Nature of Thought - This final section explores natural laws of abundance and creation. Learn to create the life you deserve with intention and direction. Workshops included.

Training sessions are offered in 2-3 week time blocks to facilitate ease of scheduling.

Classes are held Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with 1 hour for breaks. Classes will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. All hours are accounted for and required for certification.
There will be evaluations throughout the program. While some class time is devoted for practice, students are asked to practice their skills outside of class as well, on evenings and/or weekends. There is one written/oral examination required for certification after completion of the 301 course. Evaluations will be given for the 401 and internship programs for upgrade in certification. All certification is by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, in Glendale, California.

Best Western is only 6 short blocks from our class location. They are offering a special “government rate” for my students.
They have “family rooms” which have 2 queen beds, a sitting area, bathroom, in room coffee, microwave, refrigerator, high speed internet. Best Western has a hot tub and a continental breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00 am, which includes waffles, cereal, fruit etc.
The cost to students is as follows:
- 1 person - $70.00 per night plus tax
- 2 people - $75.00 per night plus tax
- 3 people - $80.00 per night plus tax
- 4 people - $85.00 per night plus tax
For 4 people sharing one family room it works out to less than $23.00 per person/per night!
When calling for reservations, please let them know that you are coming in for the Hypnotism Center training course and that these rates were approved by June the manager. Non-smoking rooms are suggested to best accommodate all students.
